All we need is music sweet music...

Tonight I went to the NYO (National Youth Orchestra) and it was bloody fantastic!!! It was so interesting to watch but most importantly listen to... The most interesting bit about the performance would be Triangle and how small it looks but how much noise it actually makes! Brent told me that the triangle cost 600 dollars!!!!! And weights 15kg so its nothing like the dinky little ones we used to play with at primary school. The second interesting thing would have to be a piece performed by the orchestra called TÅ«-mata-uenga "God of War, Spirit of Man". This piece was composed by Robin Toan who is the winner of the National Youth Orchestra, Composer-in-Residence Award 2005 which I have absolutely no idea what that means but im sure its prestigious and it was an awesome piece of modern classical music. Well that is all from me tonight so good night and god speed.

I think I should have no other mortal wants, if I could always have plenty of music.
It seems to infuse strength into my limbs and ideas into my brain.
Life seems to go on without effort, when I am filled with music.

Hide and Seek

I had a much better day at work today than I did yesterday minus the 6am start... It was not busy and I wasn't in charge so I guess that does make all the difference, especially once I complete RMT because I will being running shifts every time I work for all of eternity... I guess that's the price I pay for becoming manager.

The six o'clock alarm would never ring...

So it is 7.30am and I don't have to go into work today. So why am I awake you may ask,
well to be honest I really don't know. For the last few nights I haven't been able to sleep properly, for instance I would go to bed at about 1am a ridiculous time I know but there are so many interesting people online... Well there is only one really! and I missed out on talking because I was out with friends being the 'guardian' *sighs* :(

So any normal person would turn off the computer and do their nightly before bed rituals pull the sheets up, roll over and go to sleep. But in my case its laying there for hours on end before I actually drift off the land of nod. Last night I think I managed to get all of 2 hours sleep before I woke up with a really bad headache, I took a couple of nurofen with a huge glass of delicious water and went back to bed, that happened at about 5am... 2 and a half hours later I am still awake and can not get back to sleep, I really hope this doesn't happen again tonight because I have work at 6.30am and I will need all the sleep I can get ....

and of course I cant go wrong with Kanton or a quote about sleep.

including thinking about not thinking. ~Clifton Fadiman

and now its time for love songs with mr lunt

Ok so I realize that it is infact 10 to 2 in the morning... But I can not sleep for the life of me...
so I thought that I would post some of my poetry and get some critique from you all...

SHINE
broken time with unheard rhymes
shattered hearts bleeding a new love
what will be my release
to see the light of a brand new day
rising over the open sea?

my release is you
what is not seen is my love
stronger than the great wall
deeper than whats beyond the shores
higher than the heavens above

sacred, sometimes unheard
structured but also not
grow as it does from the hidden seed
planted by your unknowing eyes
nurtured by thoughts and talks

let yourself in and close the door
turn the lock swallow the key
forever it will remain locked
lust turned to love once more
different this love shall be

make me shine, a radiant glow
yours to keep for eternity
live within me make me shine
make me live within you
shine with me

to exit from this heart would be murder
my soul will perish to dead mans cove
to remain in turmoil and darkness
you are the beacon of light
pray that it never goes out

So im slack!

Ok I realize that I have been super slack lately with not posting and what not...
so I promise to post more frequently...

Today I went into work to pick up my P.I.A.T (Putting It All Together) basically is a summary of a mock store in good old Ekatahuna that has been open for 5year and "I am going to running it and of course it wont be peachy keen or lima beans to start off with... There are problems with the partners not performing and sales declining... So I have to do a presentation on what I am going to do to fix it all and make it the best running store in the country! Ill keep you posted on how I go...

Seeing as I was utterly bored and had nothing else to do I decided to stay and work. It was actually kind of fun as I chose to be there so it was all interesting... I stayed on the bar the whole time making drinks... During that Time I bought 2 DVD's, had a visit from Brent made him his white chocolate creme frappuccino, and waved to the people across the road at Michael Hill jeweler they did wave first so I felt extra special... It was quiet an eventful day.

Read My Lips

Hello everyone...

I got back last night from Auckland and I was so exhausted!
I flew up at the crack of dawn of Tuesday, and spent 8hrs in the starbucks training room learning how to become a Store Manager. After the day finished the Hamilton store manager took us in his car to the hotel that we were staying in... Now for myself I had high expectations of hotels seeing as I worked in one and all... So when I got there I immediately started my daily values walk through my room. To my shock and horror my minibar had been removed, there was an eyelash on one of my face cloths, the jug didn't fit under the tap so I couldn't fill it up and there was no rubbish bin in my room. So my conclusion is Never stay at the Ibis even if it is for free! Insist that you stay somewhere else like Rydges or Langham....

Anyway once we were checked in we then went to Blackies in Onehunga for dinner and were enticed into staying for the Quiz night... We were coming last pretty much the whole length of the game but only by a few points so we didn't really do to bad...

I then slept then woke up and went to class again, after that I had to wait around Auckland airport for an hour before I could board my flight.... Seriously so boring! During that waiting period I was watching the news and there was a plane crash somewhere in the world and I thought crap!!! So I get on the plane and I was looking through the magazine that they have for you to read and one of the inflight movies for international flights was TURBULENCE!!!!! Seriously what a movie to choose for a in-flight movie!!!!

Now I am back in Wellington, I have today off and im just gonna do nothing.

Double Double Toil and Trouble...

I have to go to Auckland early tomorrow morning for RMT class again... This time im staying over night as I will have class on Wednesday as well... "Its going to be oh so fun!"

I have come to the point where I really have nothing to write... My mind is at a blank and im living a very boring life at the moment...

I went to Liz's place last night for a club meeting that was great we got a lot of discussion done. It was a unanimous decision that Tim, Liz and there special flat mate Jay-Z move into the city and they are now looking for a fantastic doll house apartment to live in.
